Suffer from neck and back pain? These two stretches may help alleviate it!
Today's lifestyle leads us all to bad posture. We all primarily suffer from a protracted shoulder girdle or "rounded shoulders". This is caused by the way we live are lives. Constantly behind the wheel of a car, at a computer, or simply seated on the couch. This postural disfunction can lead to severe neck and back pain. Here are two stretches to help rid you of this problem.
Two stretches to get rid of your pain.
The Pec Stretch: Stand up in good posture with feet shoulder width apart. Place arm against stable apparatus (pole, wall, door jam) with a 90 degree bend at the elbow. Gently turn your body away from the apparatus as far as you comfortably can until you feel a stretch in the chest. Hold for 30 seconds. Repeat on other side
The Lat Stretch; Stand up in good posture with feet about shoulder width apart. Hold onto a stable apparatus (pole, bar, machine) with both hands at approximately waist level. Plant your feet securely into the floor. You must ground yourself with your feet. Allow your body weight to pull you away from the apparatus. Gently lean backward as far as you comfortably can until you feel a stretch in your back. Hold for 30 seconds.
